What makes you proud to be an alum?
The amazing, smart, creative community I get to be a part of!
What are your main areas of responsibility in your current role?
I support the CEO & Development/External Affairs team with scheduling, compiling information/research, logging information and data in SalesForce, tracking external meetings and priorities. All of this is to due with fundraising and fostering connections with partners and governments.
How did your time at the CGA help prepare you for this role?
The CGA not only fed my passion for advocating for reproductive rights, expanding my knowledge of the broad negative implications that a lack of access entails, but also helped me hone my research, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Now, working at a non-profit that champions contraceptive access to ensure economic opportunities, I feel competent that the skills and knowledge I gained at the CGA are being put to great use.
Any favorite memories at the CGA?
Going to the UAE with Sylvia Maier for a Global Field Intensive and learning about women’s empowerment in a non-democratic state, by far.
