What makes you proud to be an alum?
I am honored to be part of a community of dedicated individuals who are fueled by a love of learning and driven by a shared mission to create positive change in the world.
What are your main areas of responsibility in your current role?
I identify, research, and analyze new prospects to help diversify support for The Pew Charitable Trusts (Pew) and its subsidiary, Pew Research Center. I also assist in facilitating strategic outreach efforts to scale Pew’s impact in the world.
How did your time at the CGA help prepare you for this role?
My time at CGA prepared me for this role by equipping me with the necessary tools to effectively apply a critical lens to my work and establish a solid foundation in data analysis. I highly value the passion, engagement, guidance, and encouragement of my CGA professors.
Any favorite memories at the CGA?
Absolutely! Traveling throughout the United Arab Emirates with my classmates as part of Dr. Sylvia Maier’s Global Field Intensive on Gender and Sustainable Development in the Gulf Region was incredibly rewarding. We participated in site visits and meetings with representatives from the government, private sector, and academia, and we learned about social development strategies in the UAE. I also valued my experience participating in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate consulting practicum, led by Professor Michael Oppenheimer, during which I worked on a team to identify and analyze emerging trends in violent extremism.
