CGA's visiting assistant professor of practice Olajumoke (Jumo) Ayandele, PhD, recently co-authored a report on the Chibok kidnappings, focusing on Nigeria’s regional response. Ten years after the Chibok girls kidnapping, the threat to civilians in Borno state remains, affecting 1.8 million people since 2020, and has spread to neighboring countries in the Lake Chad region. Utilizing Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) data, the report delves into the trajectory of the situation and evaluates Nigeria's response.
