Anna Tavis is a clinical associate professor and academic director for Human Capital Management at NYU SPS. She previously served as Nokia’s global head of Talent Management and has held leadership roles at Motorola, United Technologies, and AIG. In addition to her work in the corporate sector, Tavis has served on the faculty at Williams College, Fairfield University, and Columbia University. She has been published extensively in academic publications and has been featured as an expert in the media. Her articles and commentary have been featured in the Harvard Business Review, The Washington Post and Bloomberg, among others. Her research and commentary focuses on the future of work, people analytics and technology, employee experience and intelligent automation in the workplace. Tavis holds a PhD in comparative literature from Princeton University and an Executive MBA in international business from the University of South Carolina.

Sean Hennessey is a clinical assistant professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. He is the founder and CEO of Lodging Advisors, a firm dedicated to providing high-quality counseling services in the hotel industry, and was named by Crain’s New York Business as being one of the nation’s top hotel consultants. Prior to forming his own company, he served in operations roles at Marriott, Disney World, and numerous restaurants. Hennessey is cochair of the Lodging Industry Investment Council, and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants and the New York Chapter of the Hospitality Sales Managers Association International. His expert commentary has been featured on CNN Headline News, MSNBC, NPR, and Bloomberg News, and in print in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, The New York Times, and in hospitality trade publications. Hennessey holds an AS in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales and a BS in hotel administration from Cornell University School of Hospitality.

Recep “Richie” Karaburun is a clinical assistant professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies Jonathan M. Tisch Center for Hospitality. He last served as managing director, North America, of Roomer, an online peer-to-peer marketplace for travel. Prior to Roomer, Karaburun served as vice president of global supplier relations at RADIUS, president of GTA North America, and vice president of product development and contracting at American Tours International. With more than two decades of experience in the travel industry, Karaburun is recognized as an industry expert in helping travel companies to start and develop growth strategy and business. His commentary and counsel is sought on topics including sales leadership, marketing, hotel and other supplier negotiations, team building, leadership, and travel operations. Karaburun is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing at the Lubin School of Business, Pace University in New York. He holds an MBA from the George Argyros School of Business and Economics, Chapman University and a BBA in International Relations from the Uludag University, in Bursa, Turkey.

Vince Gennaro is the associate dean of the Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport. He is a recognized authority on sports business and sports analytics, as the author of Diamond Dollars: The Economics of Winning in Baseball, a consultant to Major League Baseball teams, and the host of a weekly national radio show, Behind the Numbers: Baseball SABR Style, on SiriusXM radio. Prior to his academic work, Gennaro spent more than two decades in leadership at PepsiCo, including as president of Pepsi’s Fountain Beverage Division, and also owned a pro sports franchise. His innovative analysis of the business of sports and sports analytics has been the subject of articles in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and CNN Money. Gennaro serves on the Advisory Board of The Perfect Game Foundation, and is the former president of the Board of Directors of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR). He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago—Booth and a BA from Seton Hall University.

Daniel G. Kelly II is the academic director of Graduate Programs and clinical assistant professor at the Tisch Institute for Global Sport. Previously, he was the faculty director and associate professor of the Practice for the Sports Industry Management Program at Georgetown University. Additionally, Kelly was the associate professor and director of Sport Management at Wilmington College, and has taught at DeSales University. In addition to his academic pursuits, he has consulted on strategic leadership and global business initiatives with FC Barcelona’s Barca Innovation Hub, River Plate University Institute (Argentina) and Superliga (Argentina). Kelly also served as the academic lead for the Josoor Institute’s Football and Sport Management diploma program in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He has worked on recruiting events and affiliate associations with leading sports organizations in the United States, and currently serves on the Board of Commissioners for the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). Kelly holds a PhD in Sport Management from The Ohio State University and an MS in Sport Studies and BS in Business Management from the Richard T. Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
