Victor Drapala is a financial markets regulator employed by New York State Department of Financial Services as a Supervising Risk Management Specialist. Responsibilities include conducting capital markets examinations of large financial institutions that review risk management practices and make recommendations for improvement based on regulatory guidance. Prior to DFS, Vic worked in trading rooms in risk taking capacity. He has extensive expertise in money markets has managed portfolios consisting of U.S. Treasuries, Agencies, CD’s, CP, Asset-backed and Mortgage-backed securities. At NYUSPS he teaches Introduction to Financial Markets that provides an overview to the financial markets in a way that is informative and challenging. Victor holds an MBA from Fordham University.
