Jean Ergas is an assistant adjunct professor at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. Mr. Ergas has taught a wide range of courses at NYU both credit and non –credit. These include but are not limited to global economy and  management, corporate finance, risk management and cash and working capital management. Mr. Ergas was awarded the excellence in teaching award in 2014.

Reflecting his extensive international experience, Mr. Ergas has held senior positions in leading companies – petroleum, capital markets – investment banking, ratings and insurance – reinsurance M&A. He is currently chief economist of Tigress Financial Partners LLC, a registered broker dealer with the SEC, member NYSE, FINRA, MSRB and SIPC. Mr. Ergas is very active on international media – speaking daily on CNBC’s Italian affiliate – Class CNBC. He has also been cited – among other publications - in Barron’s, Financial Times and Bloomberg.

Mr. Ergas has been key note speaker at top level conferences on private equity – private credit and Fintech. He is fluent in English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese and has a certificate in Arabic from New York University. Mr. Ergas holds a BA Honors from the University of Sussex – as well as an MBA and Advanced Professional Certificate in Accounting from New York University. He also holds FINRA Series 7 and is a member of the AICPA.
