Shawn Amsler has twenty years experience in real estate development and construction management. He has advised clients on numerous aspects of real estate finance for projects in the United States, Latin America and Europe, and has sourced institutional investors for two North American private equity real estate funds. His projects have included the Viceroy Anguilla Resort in Anguilla, British West Indies as well as the Castello di Casole boutique hotel in Tuscany, Italy.
Currently, Shawn also serves as Adjunct Instructor at New York University and Assistant Professor of Real Estate Development at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP), where his courses have included Market Analysis, The Development Process, and International Real Estate investment. In addition to Columbia, he has also lectured at Syracuse University and at New York University. He holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, where he graduated first in his class of 100 students, as well as a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
