Robert has worked in the Real Estate finance and investment field for the last 33 years. Over the last decade Robert has been a key Principal in many successful real estate LLCs. In addition, Robert has facilitated both debt and equity for various multi-million-dollar real estate investment projects. Prior to founding Schoetz Real Estate LLC, Robert was a Regional Manager of a commercial real estate lending program in the CMBS group of a major investment bank on Wall Street. As Regional Manager, he specialized in the structuring of large loans for subsequent securitization into the CMBS market. Additionally, Robert has experience in investment banking / corporate finance working as the key transaction specialist for several major initial public offerings of hotel corporations and REITS. Currently Robert is a Visiting Clinical Professor at New York University SPS Schack Institute of Real Estate where he teaches Real Estate Finance Investment Analysis and Real Estate Valuation & Feasibility Analysis. Also, Robert has taught Real Estate Underwriting at Columbia University GSAPP (Graduate School of Architecture Planning & Preservation). He has published several articles in the real estate field, one of which was cited in a congressional debate on rent control/stabilization. Robert’s background provides expertise in debt and equity financings of real estate.
