David Abrams, Clinical Assistant Professor of sports management at the NYUSPS Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport, has over 30 years of experience as a lead investment banker and advisor for numerous public and private assembly facilities including the financing of stadiums, arenas, and other sports venues. He has advised on the funding for five NFL Stadiums including the new Atlanta Falcons stadium. He is a specialist in negotiations and lease structures and is focused on capital funding strategies for major sports developments.
Prior to joining the Tisch Institute, Abrams had his own consulting firm which advised on capital formation for sports facilities. Additionally, Abrams was a Managing Director in Fixed Income at Jefferies LLC and has held senior investment banking positions with Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, A.G. Edwards and Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. Abrams is a frequent speaker at sports facility financing symposiums. Abrams is also affiliated with Inner Circle Sports LLC in New York City, a boutique investment bank focused on financing and advising in the global sports space
Abrams has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston. Abrams also holds several securities licenses through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
