Adam L. Gorski has been working full time for global conglomerates and mid-size companies for over 30 years with the latest position as the Senior Vice President and Global CIO at Contour Global Management company, a $1.5 Billion global energy producer. He has been leading global Information Technology and Business Digital Transformation through the Aligned Strategy and agile Execution of the company’s mission critical. As the regional Chief Information Officer and the Global Chief Digital Officer for The Timken Company, a $5 Billion global manufacturer of Bearings and Power Transmission components, Adam led the company’s Digital Transformation program to make it easy for the customers, suppliers, partners, and employees to conduct business. Additionally, he has architected and implemented a strong predictive and advanced analytics system that was based on the Machine and Deep Learning concepts that used Data Lake source of structured and unstructured data to provide corporate management with an automated and visual data representation to make timely and competitive decisions.
Prior to his role at The Timken Company, he had served as the Global Vice President of Information Technology (CIO) at Element Solutions (formerly Platform Specialty Products, Alent, Inc. and Cookson Electronics) between 2007 and 2017 ($4 Billion chemical company with over 200 locations throughout the world). A key player in M&A analysis, due diligence, planning, and executing the M&A strategy. Successfully architected and managed merging of other businesses into the company’s global systems in 27 countries delivering over $50 Million in synergy.
Prior to joining Element Solutions Adam served as:
- Vice President and CIO at Latex International, a Connecticut based company manufacturing high end latex mattresses and pillows from 2005 to 2007.
- Director and CIO at Inline Plastics Corp., a Connecticut based company manufacturing plastic packaging for the food industry from 2000 to 2005. In addition to his IT responsibilities at Inline Plastics Corp.
- Various positions at Stanley Black & Decker based in New Britain, CT from 1991 to 2000.His last position was the Global IT Manager. The last assignment was a $15 Million Y2K project to remediate over 8,000 PCs, Servers, and other network systems and devices in 214 locations worldwide. Dr. Gorski completed the project 6 months before the due date and more 30% below the budget. Responsible for global infrastructure, vendor management. Key contributor to M&A.
In addition to his full time CIO role, Adam is an Adjunct Professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies where he teaches Digital Transformation, Strategic Management of Technological Innovation, Enterprise Application Integration, Data Warehousing and Data Mining, and Managing in a Global Economy courses. He has also developed Business Analytics, Discovery-Driven Digital Transformation, and Project Management courses for the Master of Science in Management and Technology at NYU. Adam has earned his Ph.D. in Management with Information Technology concentration in Digital and Transformational Technologies from Walden University, MBA Degree in Strategic Management and Finance from the University of Hartford, and the Bachelor of Science Degree in International Management and Information Technology from Central Connecticut State University.
