Fabio Bertoni is General Counsel for The New Yorker at Condé Nast, where he conducts pre-publication review of all articles, website posts, videos, and other content, as well as supervising legal issues surrounding The New Yorker Festival and other events;addresses potential legal issues surrounding newsgathering and publication; handles legal issues for the advertising and marketing departments, including copyright and trademark issues, right of publicity, and contest and sweepstakes law; and negotiates and drafts a wide variety of agreements, including with WNYC for launch and co-production of nationally syndicated radio show “The New Yorker Radio Hour.” He previously was Assistant General Counsel for HarperCollins Publishers, as well as having held positions at ALM Media LLC, Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld LLP, and Farrar, Straus & Giroux. Fabio has written for The New York Observer, The West Sider, WNYC Radio, New York Law Journal Magazine, and The New Yorker. He received his JD from Columbia University School of Law.
