Amir Kornblum has been involved in the real estate industry in various capacities for over 33 years and has been directly involved in closing over $16 Billion worth of transactions during such time period with respect to both performing and distressed assets.

In December 2012, Amir Kornblum founded the law firm of Kornblum & Kornblum LLP which focuses on all aspects of real estate transactional law, including, acquisitions and dispositions (commercial and residential), leasing (for both landlords and tenants), commercial finance (for both lenders and borrowers), debt acquisition, restructuring and workout of defaulted loan facilities, joint venture formation and the representation of brokers and advisors. Since 2017, Mr. Kornblum has also been associated with the Manhattan law firm of Reiss Sheppe LLP as a senior partner in its real estate department.

From January 2011 to November 2012, Mr. Kornblum oversaw the Solow Corporation’s portfolio of office and residential buildings, including all matters relating to leasing, development, acquisitions, finance and property management.

Before joining the Solow Corporation, Mr. Kornblum was a Director in the Commercial Mortgage Finance Large Loan Group at Citigroup with structuring responsibilities and extensive borrower interaction with respect to all floater loans, large conduit loans, construction loans and preferred equity transactions for all asset classes from the structuring stage through closing, securitizations and participations, including the sale of whole loans, mezzanine loans and B- Notes.

Previously, Mr. Kornblum was a Real Estate attorney at several national law firms for over 14 years, including Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where he represented major corporations, lending institutions, insurance companies, municipalities, bond insurance companies and high net worth individuals in all aspects of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of commercial, industrial, and residential real estate.

In September 2018, Mr. Kornblum was appointed as an Adjunct Instructor at the New York University School of Professional Studies – Schack Institute of Real Estate Graduate Program. He teaches a class in Legal Principles and Practices to graduate students from all over the world. Mr. Kornblum is a 1991 graduate of Columbia University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor degree. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia College in 1988.
