George Benaroya is a Global Financial Executive who managed operations at Procter & Gamble, Tetra Pak, Beiersdorf/Nivea and currently a Private Equity firm. His executive positions include Vice President Finance, Global Controller & CFO. During his career, he has served as Member of the Global Marketing Committee and led 26 M&As. Students enrolled in his Finance for Marketing Decisions class at NYU learn how to secure marketing funding at corporations, private equity firms, and start-ups.
Benaroya has the most comprehensive global exposure of any Finance professional. To better understand local consumers, he visited clients in over 190 countries and resided in 9 countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Since early 2017, Benaroya holds the position of Vice President, Finance at LTI, with global responsibility for M&As and Business Transformation. His practice specializes in enabling companies to use Artificial Intelligence to lower manufacturing cost and optimize pricing.
In 2015-2016, Benaroya served as Vice President & Global Controller at Dawn Foods, where he deployed a patented process to steer financial performance through actionable management Information, enabled the Shared Service organization to deploy a path to World Class and implemented pricing and direct debit solutions at customers across the US.
For 3 years beginning on March 2012, Benaroya held the position of Vice President-Finance, Emerging Markets at Beiersdorf AG (Nivea, La Prairie, Eucerin). The region included Latin America, Russia, Central Asia, the Middle East & Turkey, India, and Africa. During his tenure, the region recorded growth over 15% per year and absolute levels of profitability. Through February 2012, he held several management positions at Tetra Pak for 12 years. Among other accomplishments, Benaroya implemented a direct debit collection system which reached 73% of sales in six months, a worldwide benchmark; re-launched the Financial Analysis, Reporting & Planning function and personally managed complex geographies. He was based out of Switzerland, Japan, Sweden, Turkey, and Yugoslavia.
Prior to that, Benaroya held several managerial positions at Procter & Gamble and Clorox in the Americas for eight years. In 1992, he received a fellowship from The American University where he researched the performance of stocks, bonds and real estate for the period 1960 to 1990.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA in Finance from Kennesaw University and with an MBA from The American University in Washington DC at the age of 21. All education on full-merit scholarships.
