Pierre Gervois is an American artist and film producer living and working in New York City since 2013.
A recognized expert in art and cultural travel, he is serving as the Executive Producer of the cultural travel show The Story of Art in America, an Award- winning docuseries airing on Amazon Prime Video and Tube TV.
From 2007 to 2013 he lived and worked in Shanghai and founded China Elite Focus Limited, the first digital marketing agency specialized in the new generation of affluent Chinese outbound tourists. Under Pierre Gervois’ direction, this agency created the first digital campaigns for luxury brands, luxury hotels and travel destinations willing to attract the growing Chinese outbound tourists, with a focus on cultural and artistic experiences.
Between 2004 and 2007, he was a guest lecturer and taught International Investments in China in several universities and business schools in France, such as the IESEG School of Management at the Catholic University of Lille, Paris School of Business, Toulouse Business School, and the Ecole des Mines
de Nantes.
Pierre Gervois has been frequently interviewed in magazines, newspapers, television, and radio and has been invited to be a featured speaker in professional events about cultural travel and tourism in the United States, Dubai, Barbados, China, New Zealand, Thailand, Switzerland and in France.Â
He is doing research on the use of art as an asset for tourism promotion, in particular the new forms of art such as digital art. Pierre Gervois is a text-based conceptual artist and a crypto poet describing and characterizing social interactions at a very granular level as well as and dynamics of power in our society.
He is represented by The Verse Verse Gallery since 2021. His works have been acquired by museums for their permanent collections such as the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art (NYC), the Tezos Foundation, and the NFT Museum of Newberry. Pierre Gervois has lectured about text-based conceptual art and crypto poetry at The City University of New York and the University of Anchorage Alaska.
