Justine Gubar is a television producer and journalist currently serving as the Director of Broadcast Operations for the New York Roadrunners Club. She previously led the Sports Emmy Awards at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Her career includes tenure as Vice President of News Narratives at Fusion TV and as a Bureau Producer for ESPN, where she received four Emmy Awards.
In 2020, she won two Telly Awards for producing virtual Sports Emmy ceremonies for NATAS. She has also led teams that have been recognized with the Excellence in Financial Journalism Award, the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for Domestic Television, and the NABJ Award for Innovation in Investigative Journalism. Additionally, she earned a WICT Signature Accolade for her ESPN documentary "Herstory: Ten Times Over," about basketball camps for girls in Nigeria.
In 2006, Justine was selected for the yearlong John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University. A Wesleyan University graduate, she is also the author of the nonfiction narrative Fanaticus: Mischief and Madness in the Modern Sports Fan, published in 2016.
