James Barry, MS CM, LEED AP BD+C is an Adjunct Instructor at New York University in the Schack’s Institute of Real Estate. His courses include Construction Methods and Technology, as well as Technology for the Construction. James worked in the Building Industry in New York City for over twenty years. James’ project portfolio includes a diverse range of projects spanning High End Residential, Hospitality, Healthcare, and Institutional. Projects of note include several large projects at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 220 Central Park South, NYU Kimmel Center/ Skirball Theater, The Roxy Hotel, and The Floating Hospital. James is an NYU alumni and was a member of the graduate student team that visited Haiti 18 months after the 2010 earthquake in Port-Au-Prince. The efforts of that program were documented in the film Haiti Redux. James has been an active mentor with ACEMENTOR.org for over fifteen years. ACE is a program that teaches High School age students the process of designing and building a project. In 2019 James founded PMDC Group LLC which provides Owner’s Representation and Project Management Services.
