Stephen Gregory Barr is a 25+ year Media veteran currently serving as Senior Vice President, Non Traditional Revenue, CBS Stations, part of Paramount Global. In this role, Barr manages $1B in revenue overseeing Group Sales, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Audience Network, Performance Sales, Unwired Agencies, Paid Programming across the 13 O+O (owned/operated) plus 14 independent television stations. Prior to Paramount, Barr served as Vice President, Business Development for Univision overseeing business development, strategy, and revenue optimization. He began his media career in Magazine Publishing with senior roles at Hearst, Time Inc. and National Geographic.
Outside of corporate America, Barr joined NYU as an Adjunct Associate Professor beginning in the 2020/21 academic year teaching the undergraduate course, Business & Society and Business Communications in the executive MBA program at NYU Stern. He has also taught The Business of Nonprofit Management at NYU Wagner and currently teaching The C-Suite Perspective - Leadership and Integrated Marketing at NYU SPS.
An active alum, Barr serves on the executive board of directors for the MIT Sloan Club of New York and graduate ambassador MLS council for Cornell Law School.
Barr is a graduate of Cornell Law School; an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management; a master of science degree from New York University, SPS; and bachelor degree from Morehouse College. In addition, he is a graduate of the Strategy & Organization Executive Management Program for Media Professionals at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
