Sharyn Rosart is Clinical Assistant Professor and Academic Director for Publishing at The Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts (PALA), where she oversees the MS in Publishing and the Summer Publishing Institute, helping to prepare students for careers in book publishing and digital/magazine media. Sharyn also serves as Academic Director of NYU/SPS Advanced Publishing Institute. Sharyn came to NYU after founding Spruce Books, an illustrated wellness imprint at  Sasquatch Books. Previously, she was Client Sales Director at Penguin Random House Publishing Services, co-founder and publisher of leading book producer Quirk Packaging, and Editorial Director at Barnes & Noble Publishing. She started her career as an editor at Prentice-Hall Canada. Sharyn holds an MA in Comparative Literature from  Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
