Petria May is a passionate mentor to future lawyers. A graduate of both Yale and Columbia, she combines years of experience in the world of Big Law with her deep love for teaching. Whether as a federal law clerk or an adjunct professor at NYU, she has dedicated her career to helping students thrive. Now, she's bringing that energy to SPS’s Pre-Law Boot Camp.
For Ms. May, teaching future lawyers isn't just about textbooks and lectures: It's about giving students real-world insights and hands-on experience. In this course, students don’t just learn the theory of law; they live it. From field trips to actual courtrooms and practice in mock trials, to studying case law and engaging in lively debates about how law shapes our society, students get a full spectrum of what it takes to succeed in law school and beyond.
Ms. May’s students go on to study at top universities and law schools, including NYU, her alma mater Yale, and many other highly regarded institutions around the globe. She has worked with hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds and with various goals and is always ready to meet the next generation of future legal professionals.
Whether you are curious about law or already considering it as a career, Ms. May's Pre-Law Boot Camp is the perfect opportunity to explore, learn, and get involved in the legal world.
