Julie Torres Moskovitz, AIA, WELL and LEED AP, CPHC – is Principal and Director of Fete Nature Architecture (FNA) based in Brooklyn, NY which is a firm that explores new ways to inhabit the urban fabric. Her work has ranged from residential and commercial hyper-efficiency retrofits to public realm and social impact projects.  Prior to FNA, she was Director of Sustainability and a Senior Associate at WXY architecture + urban design in NYC. She has co-led several projects for WXY with NYCHH, NYCHA, NYPA, NYSOPRHP, Liberty State Park, NJ and Chester Agricultural Center farmworker housing.
She has over 25 years working in NYC construction industry on a range of projects and specializes in energy-efficiency retrofitting and new construction. She was the architect on the first certified Passive House project in NYC in 2012 which won an International Passive House Design Award and she wrote a book titled The Greenest Home, Superinsulated and Passive House Design with 18 case studies and has since led passive house strategy projects in NYC, Seattle, and Atlanta. 
She is an appointed public member of Brooklyn’s CB1's Environmental Protection Committee and on the Advisory Boards of both Street Vendor Project and Youth Design Center. She is on the Board of Directors at Brooklyn AIA. She also teaches as a visiting Professor at various universities such as NYU, Pratt, Parsons, Syracuse University, and RISD. At NYU Schack Institute she teaches Planning and Design Issues for Developers (DEVE1-GC 1020).
Torres Moskovitz is a licensed architect in NY, NJ, CT, PA, WA, OH, and GA and is NCARB- certified. She is also an Owner’s Representative, Sustainability consultant, Certified Passive House Consultant, Certified Passive House Tradesman in Building Envelope, and LEED AP, WELL AP and a Regenerative Design Practitioner.
