Michael Rapps is an attorney, wealth advisor, and Certified Financial Planner™ with over a decade of experience in private client services. Specializing in estate planning, financial planning, and business succession planning, Michael works with affluent families and business owners to achieve their financial goals. His expertise in private client trust and estate planning, tax-efficient investing, and legacy planning allows him to offer customized solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Michael holds several industry certifications, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA). He teaches courses in financial planning and analysis, as well as risk management, at NYU SPS in the Department of Programs in Business.
In addition to his teaching role, Michael co-hosts the Financial Planning Association’s Tax and Estate Knowledge Circle and is an active member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trust and Estate and Elder Law sections.
Michael earned his undergraduate degree and master’s degree in education and administration from Yeshiva University in New York City. He completed his law degree at Hofstra University, focusing on corporate and securities law, and received the Herman Hillman Memorial Scholarship for excellence in real estate law.
