Lauren Offermann is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Human CapitalManagement at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Prior to joining NYU, Lauren was an Adjunct Instructor at Montclair State University; and prior to her teaching career, she spent a decade working in various HR roles spanning recruitment, management, and consulting. Lauren is in her last year of a PhD program in I/O Psychology at Montclair State University. Her dissertation, which was awarded a grant from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), is on the effectiveness of a web-based, self-paced mental health awareness training geared towards educating supervisors. Prior to Montclair, she received her MBA with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Iona College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Communications Studies from Seton Hall University. Lauren's research interests include: leadership, team performance, and occupational health psychology (OHP) as it relates to mental health in the workplace.
