Elena Aminova is an Adjunct Instructor at the NYU School of Professional Studies, where she teaches a graduate-level course in Technical Project Management within the Division of Programs in Business. With a passion for fostering the next generation of technology leaders, Elena brings nearly two decades of professional experience and industry insights into the classroom.
Elena is a Technology Leader at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she has spent 19 years driving innovation and transformation. Her career at the New York Fed has spanned roles such as Developer, Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Scrum Master, Leader of the Agile Enterprise Services Function, and Strategic Transformation Manager, culminating in her current role within the Technology Group's Delivery Support Services Function. A pioneer in Agile transformation, Elena has been instrumental in shaping the Bank’s Agile practices and culture.
Elena holds an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Queens College, CUNY. She is a Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Certified Team Coach (CTC), and Organizational Relationship Systems Coach (ORSC). Practicing Scrum since 2011, Elena excels at enabling the adoption of Agile values and principles, removing impediments, and helping teams deliver success in dynamic environments.
In addition to her professional achievements, Elena is a dedicated leader in the Agile community. She enjoys organizing Agile conferences, retreats, and meetups, including the upcoming Scrum Alliance Regional Scrum Gathering® in Banff, Canada, in September 2025, and a Scrum Alliance Agile Coaching Retreat in Costa Rica in December 2025.
Having lived in New York City for over 30 years, Elena shares her life with her husband, Peter, and their four children—two sons and two daughters. She is excited to bring her expertise, enthusiasm, and industry experience to her students at NYU, helping them navigate the evolving world of project management.
