John Ladyzinski is a distinguished professional with a robust background in both academia and the financial services sector. Currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS), he brings over 35 years of experience to his role. John has been associated with NYU SPS since 1997, initially as an instructor and later as a faculty member in the Graduate School starting from 2009.

In his corporate career, John worked at Morgan Stanley, was a Partner in Investment Banking at Drexel Burnham Lambert, and held the position of COO at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch Equity Sales & Trading Division in New York where his responsibilities included overseeing technology strategy, cost containment, cross-business relationship management, regulatory compliance, and disaster recovery for the division.

Within NYU SPS, John teaches a variety of courses including Crisis Management, Financial Services and Trading Institutions, Financial Management, and Operational & Financial Risk Analysis. He has also developed new courses such as Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and the Blockchain, which is part of the Finance Certificate for Alternative Investments, and Emerging Issues in Sport: Blockchain in Sports for the Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport.

Beyond his professional and academic pursuits, John Ladyzinski is involved in entrepreneurial ventures, co-owning two bridal stores with his wife, Melinda. He cherishes time with his family, which includes three children and two grandchildren. John is academically qualified with an MBA in Financial Management from Pace University and a BS in Accounting from Long Island University.

Additionally, he actively contributes to charitable causes and community service. He is a member of Team Rubicon, a group dedicated to assisting disaster victims across the US, serves as Treasurer for the St. James Men of Charity, and contributes to his community as a member of the Bernards Township Planning Board in Basking Ridge, NJ.
