Leading Commercial Real Estate Women Executives Take the Stage at the 5th Annual Women in Real Estate Symposium, Presented by NYU SPS Schack Institute of Real Estate, at the New York Hilton on October 13

NEW YORK, September 26, 2022—On Thursday, October 13, at the New York Hilton Midtown, a powerful and influential line-up of the leading commercial real estate women executives will come together for the 5th Annual Women in Real Estate Symposium, hosted by the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) Schack Institute of Real Estate.

This national event serves as a critical mentorship platform for women executives and the next generation of real estate leaders. Industry professionals and students from the United States and abroad are expected to participate in the Symposium. The capital raised supports the Women in Real Estate Scholarship Fund and academic programs for graduate and undergraduate students at the Schack Institute of Real Estate.

“The women participating in the symposium are shining examples of leaders who will take the commercial real estate industry into the future,” said Marc Norman, Larry and Klara Silverstein Chair in Real Estate Development and Investment, associate dean of the Schack Institute of Real Estate, and Symposium Host. “It is an honor for us to have these women professionals share their expertise and experiences with our Schack students and other industry professionals attending this year’s event.”

Symposium sessions will focus on the key areas of fundraising, construction, finance, government, and capital markets. The event’s luncheon will be highlighted by a discussion on life lessons learned featuring one of the industry’s leading female executives, Darcy Stacom, chairman and head of NYC Capital Markets, CBRE, and moderator Wendy Silverstein, co-founder of Silver Eagle Advisors.

In addition to Norman, several influential women in real estate are Symposium co-chairs, including Laurie Golub, chief operating officer and senior managing director, Square Mile Capital; Joanne M. Minieri, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, RXR Development Services and RXR Construction Services, RXR Realty; and CBRE’s Stacom. Stephanie D. Wright, visiting clinical assistant professor, Schack Institute, is cohost of the event, along with Norman.
