NYU School of Professional Studies Schack Institute of Real Estate to Host 26th Annual REIT Symposium on April 7 in New York City

NEW YORK, March 16, 2022 The NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) Schack Institute of Real Estate will host the 26th Annual REIT Symposium, titled “REITs Post-Covid: The New World Order,” on Thursday, April 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at The Pierre in New York City. For more than a quarter of a century, the Symposium has convened top industry executives to provide perspectives and insights on the trends transforming the real estate investment trust (REIT) markets.

These conversations complement an outstanding roster of panel discussions with the sector’s leading CEOs, bankers, lawyers, analysts, and investors. More than 500 senior industry professionals attend the Symposium each year and participate in the day’s discussions and debates.

The program features a lunch conversation with Sam Zell, chairman of Equity Group Investments; and conversations with Debra A. Cafaro, chairman and chief executive officer, Ventas; Marc Ganzi, chief executive officer, Digital Bridge Holdings; Kenneth A. Caplan, global co-head of real estate, Blackstone Real Estate; and Sandeep Mathrani, chief executive officer, WeWork Companies.

The post-COVID economy is front and center at this year’s Symposium, with a powerful line-up of industry experts who will explore what can be expected in the coming months and years.  The discussions will examine trends that are influencing REIT investment decisions, including ESG, the digital structure of REITs, technology, M&As, as well as opportunities in a post-pandemic world.

The NYU School of Professional Studies (NYUSPS) Schack Institute of Real Estate was founded in 1967 at the initiative of prominent members of the New York City real estate community, who encouraged NYU to establish an academic center that would provide a world-class education for industry professionals.
