NYU SPS Tisch Center of Hospitality Hosts the 20th Grossinger–Bergman Lecturer Series with Chip Wade of Union Square Hospitality Group on November 11
NEW YORK, October 29, 2024—The NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality, in collaboration with Johnson & Wales University, hosts the 20th Grossinger–Bergman Distinguished Lecture Series in Travel and Tourism featuring Chip Wade, chief executive officer of Union Square Hospitality Group. The event will be held at the NYU Kimmel Center for University Life, Rosenthal Pavilion, 10th Floor, on Monday, November 11.
In a fireside chat with Dana Beninati, a Food Network personality and chef, Wade will share his entrepreneurial insights and discuss timely issues and developments in the hospitality industry, especially in the New York City market. He will also offer valuable advice for current NYU SPS Tisch Center students and alums on succeeding in this competitive industry.
As CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group, Wade is responsible for further enhancing and evolving the company’s culture, driving an even greater experience for guests, and bolstering the excellence and growth of its businesses. He received his culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University, his B.S. from Widener University, and his M.B.A. from the University of Texas, Dallas.
In addition to his professional experience, Wade serves on several boards, including Cracker Barrel, Johnson & Wales University, and Share Our Strength, a national organization working to end childhood hunger and poverty in the United States. He is also a senior advisor for Junzi Kitchen, a Chinese fast-casual restaurant and concept based in New York.
