The Undergraduate Student Council (USC) represents all the undergraduate students at SPS in matters affecting student life and student affairs. The USC mission promotes community by bringing students together for social gatherings, community service projects, and other fun events as well as to support activities for undergraduate clubs.
Student Organizations
Participating in student activities is a great way to get involved on campus. Improve your team building and leadership skills, explore fresh interests and find communities to expand your worldview.
Student Government
NYUSPS has both a Graduate and Undergraduate Student Council with members elected annually to represent our diverse student body. Council members act and speak on your behalf. They serve to enrich your academic and social experiences by developing creative programming, voicing your concerns, advancing community-minded agendas, and expanding opportunities. Become immersed in the NYU experience by taking an active role in student government. Your energy and commitment will result in lifelong friendships and connections, discovering strengths and passions, and in creating vibrant communities that thrive and endure.
Graduate Student Council
The Graduate Student Council (GSC) represents all the graduate students at SPS in matters affecting student life and student affairs. The GSC mission builds school community by developing programs that focus on improving student life and to oversee and fund graduate student organizations.
School-wide Committees
School-wide committees plan and promote events and activities for the entire school and are comprised of both undergraduate and graduate students. Whether your interests are grounded in community service, recreation, or social media and design, a great way to meet fellow students and get involved is by joining one of these committees.
Community Service Committee
Community service and social responsibility are important committments at NYU. SPS supports the University's initiatives by providing numerous ways for students to give back from ad-hoc days of service to time-honored, on-going service projects.
#SPServes, our community service program unites students, faculty, alumni and staff through community service projects scheduled throughout the year.
Recreation Committee
The Recreation Committee organizes smaller trips and events which bring students together with similar interests. Take a spin class, attend a sporting event, or go on a trip to an amusement park. The Committee also promotes NYU intramural sports events and recruits the SPS team for the ALL-University games competition.

Social Media and Design Committee
The Social Media and Design Committee plans, executes, and manages social media activity on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the SPS Student Council and other SPS committees. The Committee creates content and designs visuals for both online and print distribution.
Student Clubs
Student Clubs speak to both the academic and social aspects of student life at the University. Â Joining a club can be the pathway to forging enduring lifelong friendships and future professional opportunities and connections. Clubs offer a creative forum for exploring intellectual, business, and cultural passions while opening the door to establishing communities of interests and deeply enriching the academic experience.
