Katie has over 30 years of senior HR experience, with expertise in executive leadership development and organisation development, including culture change and strategy implementation. She is a deeply experienced life, executive and career coach and organisation consultant to diverse organisations across the globe. She has coached many senior leaders, including CEOs, women leaders and top teams. She first trained as a workplace counsellor in her early twenties and discovered a career-long passion.
She is a principal in The Lovins Group, a consulting business focused on helping families thrive in the context of legacy wealth. She also has a personal life and executive coaching practice Arete Partners. She has a particular passion for life and career coaching. Katie holds a PhD in Organisational Behavior from Bristol Business School, University of the West of England, a Masters in Coaching and Consulting for Change from INSEAD, a BA and MA in History from Cambridge University and a Master’s in Fine Arts, Creative Writing & Poetics from Naropa University. She was a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the Women’s and Public Policy Program.
Katie’s long practitioner career spans global executive roles including Global CHRO of Russell Investments, senior talent and learning roles in investment banking and ten years spent in international business consulting. Her last corporate role was Global Head of Culture Change and Engagement at UBS investment bank. At UBS she helped design and facilitate executive development for the top 200 leaders in the group and designed and led large-scale culture events. Katie has designed and facilitated coaching assignments at British Aerospace (top 50), Morgan Stanley and Citigroup (top investment bank leadership), Rolls Royce (top 100) and UBS, among many others.
