Patricia E Daly

Trish Daly is the book development editor at the New York Times. Previously at Penguin Random House, she was a senior editor at Portfolio, where she acquired and edited narrative, prescriptive, journalistic, and idea-driven nonfiction, including New York Times bestseller Rich AF by Vivian Tu. She has also held positions at Little, Brown, on the publishing team for bestselling author James Patterson; and at HarperCollins, where she acquired Margot Lee Shetterly’s Hidden Figures, the award-winning bestseller which was adapted for children’s books and an Oscar-nominated film. A graduate of Boston College and the NYU SPS Summer Publishing Institute, Trish has been an adjunct instructor at NYU’s Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts since 2021.
