The School’s MS Program is the First in the US to Receive Accreditation from the International Coaching Federation
NYU SPS’ Master's in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting Receives International Coaching Federation Accreditation
NEW YORK, September 5, 2023 - - As more and more organizations and individuals realize the benefits of working with skilled and trained coaches and organizational consultants, the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) today announced their MS in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting is the first master's program in the US to receive accreditation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

It is a momentous milestone that positions our graduates at the forefront of an ever-evolving profession,” said Anna Tavis, clinical professor and department chair of the Human Capital Management Department at NYU SPS Division of Programs in Business (DPB). “The ICF accreditation ensures that NYU SPS is setting the highest professional standards for the future generations of coaches and consultants.”
According to Dr. Woody Woodward, PhD, PCC, clinical assistant professor of Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting and director of the Coaching Innovation Lab at NYU SPS, “It is an exciting time for the professional practice of coaching. Having the NYU Executive Coaching & Organizational Consulting Master of Science program recognized by ICF as an accredited coach education and training provider is an important step in helping elevate executive coaching as a profession.”
In addition to the ICF Accreditation for the School’s MS in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting, the NYU SPS Certificate in Executive Coaching and Certificate in Professional Coaching have been accredited and verified as being in complete alignment with the best practices of the world’s largest organization leading the advancement of the coaching profession and its role in society.
